We spent a bit of time exploring the park, it is a family friendly place where small children and adults alike can have fun. I would suggest going during spring or fall as I can imagine it would get pretty hot there during the summer. We didn't actually stay at the park we camped on BLM land which was beautiful but if you stay in the park they have nice campsites, toilets, and showers you can use.
